Inspired by the garden-city project envisioned for Santo António dos Cavaleiros in the 1960s, AM48 has created a unique environment where quality of life and nature intertwine in perfect harmony.

The dream of creating a garden city at Lisbon’s doorstep dates back to the 1960s, but it’s in 2025 that it comes to life with a new dimension.
Inspired by the original vision of the renowned architects Gonçalo Ribeiro Telles, Alberto Reaes Pinto, and Fernando Ressano Garcia, AM48 brings its extensive experience in high-quality, sustainable developments to the project.
By combining innovation, sustainability, and construction excellence, this idea is now becoming a reality—planting the seeds of a city designed for the future.

In the heart of the parish, facing the Urban Park and the Health Center, 1965 Cidade Jardim enhances the community and the municipality itself, a core pillar for AM48, whose approach to sustainability includes both the environment and society from day one.
More than just an efficient construction, this is a project designed to bring people closer to nature and encourage a balanced and active lifestyle. From the careful selection of materials to the optimization of resources, every detail has been planned to promote comfort, mobility, and harmony with the environment.
The result? With every detail carefully considered, 1965 Cidade Jardim offers a healthier and more fluid life, where the balance between home and work happens naturally. WHERE history COMES TO LIFE
1965 Cidade Jardim is composed of seven buildings, each honoring a figure who made a significant impact on the visionary project of the 1960s and, therefore, inspired this new concept of urban living by AM48.
The architect Alberto Reaes Pinto was responsible for shaping the initial vision, ensuring that the concept of a city integrated into nature was realised.

Santo António dos Cavaleiros owes its name to the legacy of the Rouze family, who owned the manor house of Casal do Bravo in the 17th century.

Ebenezer Howard was the visionary who coined the term ‘garden city’, idealising autonomous communities surrounded by a green belt, where city and countryside coexist in balance.

The solemn inauguration of the original 1960s project was carried out by admiral Américo Thomaz, then President of the Republic, this event officially marked the beginning of a new era for the community.
